The Connecticut Junior Republic’s Behavioral Health and Wellness Center provides behavioral health services for children, youth and families at many CJR locations across the state. Resources include psychiatry and medication management, family therapy, and clinical counseling for youth and families address. CJR also has clinicians who provide specified trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TFCBT), and MDFT, a community based program which works with clients ages 18 and under who are involved with DCF or Probation.

Evidence-based clinical interventions are offered through individualized treatment, group work, family sessions, parental guidance and case management as a pathway to meeting client goals.
Intensive In-Home Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Services (IICAPS) helps children and families through an in-home individual and family therapy model. They provide 24-hour crisis response, parent guidance, school consultations, and more. Children and families receive an assessment of treatment needs, including a psychological and psychiatric evaluation. Functional Family Therapy (FFT) is an evidence-based family intervention program focused on at risk and juvenile justice involved youth. The age range of the program is 11 to 18 years old, and a caregiver is needed to participate in every session for up to 4 months.
